About Me
My journey began in 1995 as a physical therapist in Colombia, South America. During my practice, I discovered that emotions play a big role in healing, and our mind and body are connected through emotions. After working in a clinic for five years, I became a teacher at a university teaching future therapists about healing the body in a holistic way. Since then, I’ve been helping people heal from injuries and pain, making a real difference in their lives.
When I relocated to the US, I got certified as a Yoga instructor and a Massage Therapist so I could help my clients learn how to meditate, improve their flexibility, balance and ease their physical and mental stress by reducing muscle tension. My goal is to help my clients live happier and healthier lives.
On a personal front, in 2016 I developed a disease in my left eye for which the treatment involved getting an injection into my eye every month. After four injections, my eye hadn’t responded well and the doctor told me to consider a more aggressive treatment. My experience had already taught me the mind and body connection through emotions, and this was the opportunity to practice what I knew. I focused on meditation and managing my emotions, and sure enough my body responded. On my next visit, my doctor couldn’t believe how much my eye had improved. I felt unstoppable that day because I knew I could heal my eye—and guess what, that’s exactly what I did! My eye got considerably better over time.
After this eye-opening experience (literally and figuratively :D), I began practicing and teaching this wonderful practice of mind body connection. In 2022, I became a certified life mentor, helping people take charge of their wellness and address the root cause of their issues, not just the external symptoms. I’m a good listener who loves educating others about self-care. I’m empathetic, creative, committed, and disciplined – you will benefit greatly by partnering with me on your wellness journey. Let’s connect!
